BiographyHistory

During his stay in Australia, prolific English writer A. L. Haydon collected information for his book The Trooper Police of Australia : A Record of Mounted Police Work in the Commonwealth from the Earliest Days of Settlement to the Present Time (London : Melrose, 1911). Apart from writing several public school stories set in England, he also edited some "Boys Own" books. He wrote two children's books with Australian characters.
