Judy Ferguson has always enjoyed writing and wrote poems and stories as a young child. Professionally, she became a primary school teacher then a principal in state schools from 1960-1994 and wrote articles, talks and treatises, many published in political and educational journals in both SA and interstate. A strong unionist and fighter for the underdog and for a fairer democracy, Judy, an ardent feminist, was involved with the Women's Liberation Movement from its inception in the late 1960s.
