BiographyHistory

A speaker of Maltese, English, Italian and French, George Chetcuti took part in radio plays during World War II. In both Malta and Australia, he has worked as a journalist, teacher, translator and interpreter and has been a member of the Maltese Cultural Society and the Maltese Academic Society. His work was read on radio in Malta between 1937 and 1965 and on Australian radio from 1965. He has read at many literary gatherings in Malta and Australia.
