BiographyHistory

Miervaldis Bumbieris graduated from a school of agriculture and studied economics in Latvia. After the war, he spent five years in Germany. In Australia, he gained a Masters degree in agricultural science from the University of Adelaide. He has worked at the Agricultural Research Institute of the University of Adelaide. He became involved with theatre in Germany and joined the Adelaide Latvian Theatre Ensemble in 1952, taking part in productions both as an actor and as a producer.
