BiographyHistory

Alessandro Faini completed an arts degree in Italy and served in World War II as an army officer. At the end of the war he joined the Italian police force, reaching the position of chief inspector. He was involved in the publication of the police force's monthly magazine. In Australia he resumed his journalistic activities, becoming the sports editor and then the Victorian editor of La Fiamma from 1960 to 1971. Later he became the editor of Il Corriere and from 1972 he became a contributor to the Sydney-based weekly Settegiorni.
