BiographyHistory

Alan Knapp grew up on a farm near Kebaringup CBH depot on the Grip - Borden Road in Western Australia. His grandfather was John Knapp who married Lilly Bevan and his parents were Alfred and Gertrude Knapp (nee Bynder). In the mid 1970's Alan's family moved to Albany and resided on the Native Reserve overlooking Princess Royal Harbour. In his early days he was a boxer and spent sometime in Fremantle and Bunbury prison. Apart from writing short stories, Alan was also passionate about writing his autobiography.
