BiographyHistory

Rita Hall completed her Master of Visual Art in 1992; Adv.Dip.T (Fine Art.Dip T.Art) in 1975 and Dip T. (Art) in 1968.
Although she has illustrated three picture books, Rita Hall is primarily a fine artist. Her work is on paper in mixed media, based on drawing and printmaking, and is driven by constant experimentation with materials and ideas.
From 1975 to 1999 Rita Hall successfully acquitted 3 Arts project Grants and several major public commissions, including the 1994 Suffrage Commemorative print folio for Flinders University. She has won several art prizes including the Fasson Award for creative excellence. From 1989 to 2000, Rita was engaged as a part time lecturer at the SA School of Art.
Her artwork appears in many major public collections including the Australian National Gallery and the Art Gallery of South Australia.
