BiographyHistory

Alec Sewell was educated at Haileybury College, Melbourne. During World War Two he enlisted in the 2nd A.I.F. He travelled extensively and at different times in his life he worked as a banker and with the Universities Commission in Melbourne. He bequeathed a large part of his estate to The Ian Potter Foundation, which distributes grants in his name for the benefit of disadvantaged children in Australia under the age of twelve years.
