BiographyHistory

Pape was born in Germany and received his education there, including a period at the University of Berlin. He was interned in England in 1940 along with two thousand Jewish refugees from Germany. They were deported to Australia. Released in 1943, Pape worked for the Forests Commission of Victoria and from 1950 to 1967 as a road design draftsman, mainly in the Northern Territory. He lived in Toowoomba from 1972. Pape wrote The Science of Pure Religion, With a Postscript on Omnipotence (1946), Modern Man and the Kingdom of God (1948) and Diet and Destiny (1957) .
