BiographyHistory

Wolfe was educated at Box Hill High School and the Victorian School of Forestry. He spent a number of years travelling Europe where he worked at grape picking, diswashing, farming and forestry. On his return to Australia, he farmed in Gippsland for some years. He was an early opponent of Australian involvement in the Vietnam was and was arrested at the time of President John's 1966 visit to Melbourne. He had an interest in Aboriginal Land Rights and was suggested at one stage as a farm manager for the Lake Tyers Aboriginal Settlement. He then turned to operating outback safari trips. Wolfe, as an active conservationist has also written conservation themed poetry.
