BiographyHistory

A.E. Pearse studied Latin and Greek Literature at the University of Queensland, and English Literature at Oxford. He served two years in the first Australian Imperial Force, during which time he fought in France and Belgium and was wounded in action. He has used his wartime experiences as inspiration for some of his poetry.
