BiographyHistory

Colleen Burke is a poet and biographer and prose writer who grew up in Bondi, Sydney. She has received three small grants from the Literature Board of the Australia Council, two Varuna Writing Fellowships - Eleanor Dark Foundation, Katoomba, NSW (1998 and 2002) and a NSW Writers' Fellowship in 2000. (NSW Ministry for the Arts). She has taught creative writing and oral history.
