BiographyHistory

Amanda writes and illustrates picture books and short stories for young children. Her first published book, Arthur, appeared in 1984 and has since been republished in several different languages.

Amanda's career has included work as a primary teacher, freelance illustrator and illustration/drawing lecturer. Her first career choice was teaching. While studying for a Bachelor of Education at Sturt CAE (now Flinders University) she began writing stories for primary school children. After having several books published she studied illustration at the University of SA, and has since illustrated many of her own stories as well as those by other writers. Her published work includes a number of primary school readers.
