BiographyHistory

Florence Holt was an actor employed by theatre manager and comedian Bland Holt (q.v.) while the latter worked in England. Holt followed Bland Holt to Adelaide and they were married in the late 1880s. As 'The Bland Holts' they became Australia's favourite stage comedians for two decades. In 1909 they retired and, for over 30 years, lived comfortably in Melbourne. Florence Holt died in 1946, four years after her husband.
