Brenda Shields was a dietitian at the Geelong and District Hospital and an administrative officer of the Science Teachers Association of Victoria. She also wrote Eating For Two (1980), Nutrition During Pregnancy (1982) and a primary school reader, Lucy and the Dancing Birds (1987).
