BiographyHistory

Wilma Ransom, who has a Teachers' College Diploma in elementary education, was married to Jay Ellis Ransom, an American writer on rocks and minerals. They visited Australia in 1968-1969, Jay Ellis Ransom teaching science in secondary schools in Adelaide and MacKay. It was during their time in Adelaide that Wilma Ransom published The Wishing Tree. As Johanna Buitelaar she has also published novels in Dutch.
