BiographyHistory

Andrew Burke moved from Melbourne, Victoria, to Perth, Western Australia at the age of two, and has settled there with his wife and three children. He started writing as a teenager and has had a range of short stories, poems and journalism published in Australia and the United States since 1964.

He has worked in a variety of occupations, including a pie factory labourer, assistant to an auctioneer, cleaner for a police academy and Creative Director of a Perth advertising agency.  He teaches Creative Writing, writes book reviews and freelances in advertising.
