BiographyHistory

Madeleine Honey, the niece of Ethel Turner, edited the children's pages of newspapers (under the pseudonym 'Aunt Roberta') while living in New Zealand. She wrote novels for children and edited Youth, the journal run by her husband, William Henry Honey (qv).

Two further children's works, 'Diana the Rebel' and 'Pam and the Others' are listed in The Secrets of River Valley. However, these works have not been traced, and may not have been published.

Note: most sources incorrectly list Honey's dates as (1890-1943).
