BiographyHistory

Georgina Maria Tickner came to Australia as a child. She married William Bones in 1873, and lived in Ballarat. Inspired by people and events of her time, she published several books of poems under the pseudonym 'Mona Marie', many of the poems being concerned with mothers and children, death and loss.
