BiographyHistory

Sue Couper trained as a social worker at Melbourne University. She says that she started to write when, while she was Cottage Mother to thirty boys in an orphanage, someone took the children out for the day and 'the overwhelming peace drove her to do something special' (Taste of Cockroach, p. 152).
