Allan Mackay has worked in the theatre for young people all his life and is the author of over 35 plays published in six collections. He has been a high school drama teacher and has published collections of plays for school use. He has also written short stories, two of which, 'Everafter' and 'Tryst', were shortlisted for the East Gippsland Shire Council Hal Porter Short Story Competition, 2003.
