BiographyHistory

Margot Bennett was born and raised in the United Kingdom but was resident for some of her childhood and working life in Australia before returning to Britain. Some sources give 1903 as her year of birth. Similarly, some sources suggest she was resident in Australia until World War II, but she served as a nurse, translator, and broadcaster for Spanish Medical Aid during the Spanish Civil War.
