Michael Caulfield has written and directed several films, and performed in a number of sound recordings of works by other authors. He has also written for television and written social history works, including War Behind the Wire: Australian Prisoners of War (2008), in which Caulfield presents stories from the Australians at War Film Archive that follows the stories of the POWs from capture to eventual liberation.
