BiographyHistory

Dale Roberts was the daughter of writer Douglas Lockwood. She grew up in the Northern Territory, studied at the University of Adelaide and later lectured in writing at the Canberra College of Advanced Education (now University of Canberra).

Roberts also wrote the text for Canberra Sketchbook and for Australian Aboriginal Myths in Paintings by Ainslie Roberts (1911-1993), her former father-in-law.
