BiographyHistory

Warwick Randall was born in Melbourne but raised in Wodonga, where his father was a police officer. He joined the Royal Australian Navy after leaving Northcote High School, and saw both the liberation of Singapore and the Korean War. He later became an actor in the television dramas Bellbird, Division 4, Homicide, and Matlock. He has also been a freelance writer, journalist and song writer.

Other work included producing the Weekend Getaway series of publications, work for the Victorian Tourist Commission, and a stint aspublic relations officer for the State Library of Victoria.

Festival Records produced a recording with readings of some of his poems featuring Gerard Kennedy and Sven Libaek. One of his longer poems was filmed and shown nationally by the Australian Broadcasting Commission.

Randall retired to the Kiewa Valley, where he became active in the local RSL sub-branch and in the Alpine community radio station.
