BiographyHistory

Baldass Armato was born in Naxxar, Malta, and spoke English and Italian. Self-educated in languages and literature he worked as a barber both in Malta and Australia. From 1979, he read at the annual September Musico-Literary festival, initially held at the Ampol Theatre and then transferred after several years to the Community Maltese Centre, Parkville, Victoria.
