BiographyHistory

School teacher/librarian Mary Roberts's works are included in children's anthologies such as A First Australian Poetry Book (1983), A Swag of Stories (1986) and The Macquarie Bedtime Story Book (1987), and she has written for children's readers series including Expressways, Southern Cross and Trend. Roberts also wrote for radio and contributed to the newspapers the Age, and the Geelong Advertiser. Her daughter Hilary McPhee (q.v.) became known as a publisher and her son Peter McPhee (q.v.) has written biographies.
