BiographyHistory

George Mulgrue lived in India from the age of three and was educated in England. He trained as an engineer and was commissioned in the A.I.F. during the Second World War. After capture at Alamein, he was a prisoner of war in Germany. Following the war, Mulgrue worked for the Australian Information Service and the United Nations. He returned to Western Australia in 1969 and was a well-known drama and restaurant critic.
