BiographyHistory

Vaudeville performer, singer, composer, lyricist.

A popular performer on Australia's various vaudeville circuits during the 1910s and early 1920s, Bert Warne was regularly associated with Harry Clay's operations between ca. 1915 and 1919. As a songwriter, he collaborated with a number of locally based composers and lyricists, including publisher Joe Slater, and was involved in the writing of several patriotic (recruitment) songs during World War One.
