Arthur Edward Vincent was a journalist and newspaper proprietor. He was the son of printer and newspaper proprietor William Edward Vincent (q.v.), and the younger brother of Henry Cleave Vincent (1847-1924), founder of the Glen Innes Examiner, which the Vincent family owned and ran in the period 1874-1914. Arthur Vincent initially worked as a journalist at the Glen Innes Examiner, but he later formed a partnership which leased the newspaper from his brother, and subsequently became the editor.
