BiographyHistory

Fannie Twiss moved to South Australia with her family some time between 1877 and 1884. She was a Provisional Teacher in Hardwicke Bay (1884) and Cunliffe (1885-1888) on Yorke Peninsula, South Australia, and became head teacher at Christ Church Day School, Jeffcott Street, North Adelaide (1899-1920). She was the sister of Leonora Polkinghorne.
