BiographyHistory

Hope Spencer was the granddaughter of Rev. Charles Spencer, the second Church of England clergyman to be stationed in Roma. She was educated at St. Joseph's Convent in Stanthorpe. She was connected with the auctioneering firm of Fowles and Spencer Pty Ltd in Roma until her marriage in January, 1950, to Frederick Beresford Perry.

As well as books of poetry, Hope Spencer published A Souvenir [of Roma] (1940) and Birthday Book (1945).
