  • It is likely that Amyot Sagon was a British writer. He appears to have been familiar with Australia, but no details are known. The author also published A Fair Palmist (1896), When George the Third was King (1899), The Indiscretions of My Lady Palgrave (1904), Under the Roman Eagles [1907] and Sailing with Tasman (for ages 10-12, publ. in NZ, n.d.) Listed in Miller under: "Non- Australian Authors of Novels associated with Australia" (II: 970) and in Miller and Macartney as Australian.
