BiographyHistory

Gilbert Rock probably visited Australia between 1851 and 1871, although this has not been confirmed. In New Zealand he wrote two novels: By Passion Driven (1888), which is set in Dunedin, and, under the pseudonym R. W. Brock, the Maori romance Mihawhenua.
