BiographyHistory

Many of the verses in Pascoe's A Voice From the Golden City (1895) were written for railway staff occasions, with one the poems, 'Song of Farwell' indicating that Pascoe worked for the railways. Cusack's Bendigo: a history (1972) on page 41 calls him "Sandhurst's self-appointed poet laureate" (Sandhurst being an early name for Bendigo).
