BiographyHistory

William Henry Terry arrived in Australia in 1853. A spiritualist, Terry opened a bookshop in 1870 in Russell Street, Melbourne. The shop became the headquarters for the city's spiritualist movement. In the same year, Terry founded the spiritualist journal Harbinger of Light, which he edited until 1905. He was the author of a number of works on spiritualism, including The Reality of Spirit Communion with Man: Being a Reply to Mr. H.G. Turner (1869).
