BiographyHistory

Egerton Murray-Prior was the son of Thomas Lodge Murray-Prior, a 19th century Queensland pastoralist, M.L.C. and one time Postmaster-General. His step-sister was the author Rosa Praed (q.v.). He was educated at the Brisbane Grammar School and subsequently worked on family pastoral holdings in western Queensland.
