BiographyHistory

Gother Mann was a Lieutenant in the Bombay Horse Artillery and first came to Sydney on medical leave in 1836. Between 1855 and 1857 he was Chief Commissioner for Railways. A civil engineer, he was responsible for the construction of the Fitzroy Dry Dock at Cockatoo Island.
