BiographyHistory

Godfrey White was educated at The Southport School and Brisbane Grammar School. He became a journalist before enlisting with the Australian Light Horse in 1914, serving in Egypt and Gallipoli. He was aide-de-camp to General Harry Chauvel in the desert campaign, where he distinguished himself a number of times.
