BiographyHistory

Daughter of Rev. Francis William Hynes, Methodist minister and editor of The Methodist, and his wife Mabel Evelyn (née Carruthers), Mabel Hynes wrote plays for use in church. She was the sister of Sir Lincoln Carruthers Hynes (1912-1977), a well-known sportsman, radio and TV manager and hospital manager.
