BiographyHistory

Edith Hirst was one of seven children born to Sydney wool broker George Robert Hirst (d. 1874) and his wife Caroline Louisa, nee Tucker (d. 1893). From the English poems in Round the Campfire [1892], it appears that she visited England in the late 1880s or early 1890s. Further biographical details remain to be established.
