BiographyHistory

'A Freemason' is the pseudonym used for Evening Hours (1869). While the author's identity is yet to be established, he provides the following information on the title page of that publication:

Formerly Conductor of an English, and Editorial Proprietor of an Australian Journal; Contributor to British Periodicals, lecturer on the Crimean War; Prize Essayist in Victoria, 1856; Author of a Treatise on Australian Immigration, etc etc.

The author is also believed to have published a number of works largely between the years 1850-1900.
