BiographyHistory

Prior to the publication of Hurrey's The Australian Keepsake, a Token of Love Friendship (1859) in Melbourne, he had published another volume of poems in England. The earlier volume, titled The Cottagers' Sabbath (1845), was published in both Spalding, Lincolnshhire and in London.

Hurrey's poetry was published regularly in the Argus during 1850.
