Muriel Pornett entered a pencil and crayon drawing, titled Bon, in the 1935 Archibald Prize art competition. In a collection titled 'Artwork Transferred by the National Trust of Australia (New South Wales) from the Former Collection of the Museum of Australian Childhood', held at the Sate Library of News South Wales, there are a number of items and artworks related to Muriel Pornett. These include original illustrations for the book Mia Mia Mites, an unpublished original of the title page of that book, a sketchbook with suggestions for the illustrating of Mia Mia Mites, a pen and ink drawing titled Puss in Boots, a pencil drawing titled Fuzzy Head and Woolly Top, a watercolour titled Tousie Mop and Curly Nob, preliminary pencil and watercolour sketches for Tousie Mop and Curly Nob, correspondence with publishers Melville & Mullen, miscellaneous letters, an advertisement for Mia Mia Mites, and a certificate for a bronze medal awarded to the author and illustrator in 1920.
