BiographyHistory

Born in North Wales in 1937, Philip Holden moved to Australia in 1953. He worked on farms in Victoria before moving to New Zealand in 1961 to work as a deer hunter. In the late 1960s he returned to Australia and wrote almost fifty pulp westerns for Cleveland Publishing Co. of Sydney under a variety of pseudonyms. By 1973 Holden had returned to Hawkes Bay, New Zealand.

He has written numerous works on hunting, a number of them autobiographical.
