  • In her book the author reveals that she was 'editress' of a mining paper in Sunny Corner, NSW. In the copy sighted she has signed her name Cas Hamba.

    In the first issue of The Pilot, which she edited, this earlier paper is identified as the Silver Press. She is also identified as the author of Travels on Three Continents, and named as Mrs A E McDonald.

    There is a brief biography with photograph in Splashes, reprinted in The Pilot, 9 November 1901, p.3.
