Sydney-based writer and academic. Atkinson was teaching creative writing at the University of Sydney in 2018. Her creative non-fiction work Traumata appeared from UQP in April 2018. She holds a PhD from the Writing and Society Research Centre at the University of Western Sydney: in 2017, her academic monograph based on research from this degree, The Poetics of Transgenerational Trauma, was published by Bloomsbury Academic. She has also co-edited the academic collection Traumatic Affect (2013).
