BiographyHistory

'Jason Steger is literary editor of the Age and the Sunday Age ... He writes a weekly column on books and publishing, and writes author interviews, news stories and comment pieces. Jason joined Fairfax as business editor of the Sunday Age in 1990. He became deputy features editor and then arts and books editor. He was appointed deputy managing editor of the Sunday Age before becoming literary editor of the Age and the Sunday Age in 2000. He has an honours degree in English and American literature from the University of Kent, Canterbury and began his career in regional journalism in Britain. He worked for the Financial Time's before moving to Australia. He is a regular panelist on the ABC's First Tuesday Book Club.'
