Dawn Hore has worked with children for many years, her ongoing special interest being the art of young children. She was a kindergarten director and then music program co-ordinator at Taralye, an integrated centre for hearing-impaired children from birth to six years. She has been involved in organising the 2004 world congress in Melbourne of OMEP, the World Organisation for Early Childhood Education. She also writes stories for young children.
