BiographyHistory

William Whale was a pastor for eighteen years at what was later to become the Brisbane Tabernacle. He was a leading Nonconformist clergyman of his time, and was a well known social reformer. He advocated workers' rights throughout the bitter labour disputes of 1890 and was president of an arbitration committee during the 1895 bootmakers' strike.
